Iowa has fallen way behind from the Blevins heights. Their facilities are toward the bottom of the Big Ten, and while the interim did a nice job, there is a “smell” around the team given the weird cultural issues that led to the first interim’s departure. It’s a bottom P2 job, and not as attractive as some mid-major HC gigs.

Iowa would be wise to consider No Florida pitching coach Amber Fiser. She’s done great things with that team, and she’s from Eastern Iowa. She has a great career in the Big Ten and is at the age where she understands the club scene and could recruit the area… something the last coach seems allergic to doing.
