These posts often expose parents who are having their first daughter play high school softball. The 3A/4A state series has the been second week of June for years, despite some shuffling recently. I’d assume Top Gun/Team 1 Invite is the first scheduled tourney for the bandits/chill/magic. Not including IPF only because the Iowa HS season runs differently so it’s not a 1-1 comparison with HS softball conflicts.

There will be 32 teams playing this Friday/Saturday for sectional championships, 16 playing early next week for Supers and 8 teams playing next weekend in the state of Illinois out of 276 3A/4A schools (total number of schools pulled from MaxPreps).

I can’t believe parents are on this board consistently complaining about their daughter potentially playing for a state title. I’m sorry your daughter attends a school with a strong enough program to be part of the final 4 teams advancing to the state series 🙃. No one is forcing your daughter to play high school ball. She’s welcome to quit at any time if she feels the costs of playing outweigh the benefits.

And realistically you have to acknowledge at this point that college coaches are looking at the transfer portal first before they look at your high school daughter. Besides, if your kid is as good as you think she is I’m sure she’ll be fine.
