There are a lot poorly allocated resources in this sport. I think a better approach would be #1-joining a team playing the correct tournaments (high level) #2- spend the money you would have spent on Georgia on weekly hitting, pitching, or fielding lessons. I think this approach will yield a stronger skill set, result in less missed school, and cost fewer dollars.
There are plenty of high level coaches and travel organizations in the Midwest. Your travel budget should be saved for the high level out of state tournaments. I'm not arguing against travel I'm arguing against an off-season vacation home in Georgia. Seams like an exorbitant amount of money to spend.
Especially since the people running that "brand new organization" seam to have mixed reputation at best and lack any significant track record of success.
