One thing I've noticed having a kid played through college and watching her teammates, friends, and opposition doing the same. The importance of choosing a good fit to the school and the coaches themselves are undervalued.

Through the college journey, I've seen multiple head coaches leave their program. This leaves the kids in a lurch. I've seen some lose their $, playing position, and playing time. Other kids say the coach changed once on campus and they just don't get along for whatever reason.

We were lucky enough to interview the coaches before deciding and my kid LOVES her coach, even through the difficult times. Having talked to them during the recruiting process their personalities was pretty clear and really set us at ease.

Just something to think about during the process.
