There's talent at every level, but it's more consistent where you think it would be. The only point I'd like to make is that scrimmages aren't indicative of the talent level. My youngest played Big Ten and scrimmages/fall ball, etc., didn't play starters or at least not for long. The point of the games was to play those who otherwise didn't get many innings. During the Spring, her team would see Top 25 programs and win a few by getting up early on a #4 pitcher, so it goes both ways.
