Marist: #1 One loss is vs an out of state team. Mowed through most of their competition. Nationally ranked in multiple publications. Elite line-up and one of the best pitchers in the state and they have depth. Played some of the best teams in 2 states and gave Glenwood their only loss this season.

St. Charles North: Marist's kryptonite. #2 in state some impressive wins over East and Antioch. 2 aces on staff and a line-up that can get hot. Coaching staff is one of the best in the state.

Lincoln Way East: Some big time players on their offense and defense. Good offense depth. In a virtual tie for the conference. Some impressive wins so far this season over LWW and Oswego. Hung with Marist

Lincoln Way West: The leader in the conference. Challenged themselves playing some of the best teams not in 4A. Definitely has some gamechangers in their line-up and #3 in class 4A.

Barrington: Undefeated so far and a hall of fame coach. Haven't played any of the other top teams in the state this year. Can someone trip them up on their state run, can they beat a top tier pitcher?

St. Charles East: One of the top batteries in the state. That can get the job done on the way to state with only 2 games a week. One of the best hitters in the state.

Lake Park: Hung with Marist and have one of the best 1-2 punches in the circle in the state. Played a tough schedule and the only team to beat St. Charles North this season.

3A
Glenwood: #1 and defending state champs. Elite pitcher surrounded by 3 other returning all-staters and other scholarship talent. Only loss is to Marist. Have a showdown carterville coming up. Hall of fame coach has the experience to take the team far. Travel limitations prevented them from playing other best teams in the state.

Antioch: #2 and played what might be the toughest nonconference schedules in the state including 8 games vs the Top 10 4A teams. Swept Lake Park and beat the South Carolina battery at St. Charles East. Might be the fastest team and the top coach in 3A.

Providence Catholic: From Benet Dad

2A
Carterville: 27-0 and #1 in 2A. Elite pitcher and catcher are 1st team all state battery. All 4 all staters are back. Big time showdown with Glenwood coming up.

Beecher: 20-0 and #2. Defending state champs still have an all-state battery. They play a tough schedule down the final stretch of the season.
