Kevin wasn't originally coaching with Gerry but soon after he became an integral part of the Southern Force coaching staff as his top assistant.
Kevin came over to the Bandits via Gerry's recommendation and did a terrific job. I move coaches to different teams every couple of years to allow players to get different coaching styles and try to cut down the personal attachments that can influence playing decisions. Kevin wanted to stay with the team he was coaching and told me he would quit if he had to move to a different team. Unfortunately, I was stubborn and made the change.
