Maybe HS can be "helpful". I dunno... having fun, getting game experience, sure. Those are great and every kid should be celebrated for those accomplishments.
Those two pitchers don't get to Iowa State without their travel/club experience.
You can play travel and not HS and go D1.
You can't play HS and not travel and go D1.
If you think that's not the case, you're mistaken.
