Maybe this isn’t everyone’s experience but my DD participated in the one BC held in Northbrook a few years ago. She was a young 28 & possibly the youngest there. She met Bandit girls that were three or four years older who treated her like one of their own that day. DD ended up being asked to catch for several of these older girls while they were evaluated by the coaches in attendance which made DD feel awesome. DD spoke to a few coaches in attendance that day who shared their thoughts on DD’s showing on the day. DD carried those conversations into her practice/play. Now can we say that the emails she has received asking her to attend the $$ skills camps at their college, I’m not that naive. At the end of the day DD had a fulfilling experience that left a positive impact on her perception of the game. I can’t really ask for more than that.
