I have had the opportunity to coach with Ramsey for multiple years. Have nothing but good things to say about Ramsey. The midwest has lost quite a few very good travel coaches in the past 5 years or so. Ramsey is one of the coaches that I believe will be missed in this area.
Ramsey had unique way of communicating with softball players that I have yet to see from any other travel ball coach in this area personally. The man was very good at communicating with females to help motivate them, and he did this without degrading the players.

The answer to your question is no. Ramsey hasn’t won a National Championship nor has he won IDT. He has had very talented and successful teams but winning PGF Nationals and to a lesser degree, winning IDT is very difficult.
It was a nice article but trying to compare Ramsey and the Mojo to me and the Bandits is difficult at best. Ramsey is the assistant coach of the Mojo Fisher 18u team, which has several players that were recruited from other teams to form a highly competitive team. I’m Head Coach of the Bandits Conroy 18u team and I am in charge of the entire Bandit program as Brooks Cherry is in charge of the Mojo.
The Mojo and several other super teams recruit high end talented players via the programs past success but also waiving fees, which is a great recruiting tool. The money I put towards the program goes directly to the non parent coaches stipends, rental cars, hotel rooms and airfare. I’ve lost some quality players because I refuse to change but as you can see by our roster, only one player on either of our 18’s were from outside the program from last year’s Bandit teams.
Many different ways to coach, different ways to build a program, different ways to be successful. The Bandits and the Mojo both have had more than their share of success on the field as well as helping create an avenue for the players to reach the next level. Outside of those things, which I feel we both do well, most of the other intricacies of running a team/program are different.
Ramsey did a terrific job handling apparel, equipment and coaching our 14u team when he was a Bandit but he moved to Arizona and I wasn’t comfortable paying for his travel in and for practices. Most of the players really liked Ramsey and if was a popularity contest I would get destroyed. I didn’t get into coaching to become popular or to have young kid friends. My job is to push these young ladies to be their best and make sure they all get where they need to be to get to the next level. Hopefully along the way, we win some championships!

My daughter was coached by Ramsey and Conroy. Comparing the two is like someone else said, comparing apples to oranges. Ramsey was loved by the team because he has a great style of communicating to these young ladies that the girls loved. Conroy was far more demanding and pushed the girls to be better on the field then they ever were playing for Ramsey. At the same time, playing for Ramsey was fun and less demanding. Both have their plusses and minuses, depending on what you want.

Not sure why this subject is on a public forum and would be very surprised if anyone, including past and current Bandits care. With that being said, I can sum up the biggest difference between Ramsey and I with my opening line to that team as well as all teams, "I am not your friend, my job is to make you better, help get you recruited and to win. I may end up loving this team but I will never like any individual because that will cause me to make decisions on the field that are based on emotions, which isn't in the best interest of the team.
Please put that subject to rest. Lets get back something important like who will win H.S. State next year?

It's apples and oranges between those two.

From the looks of it "who cares?" I guess other than a pissed off Bandit parent?

Maybe a disgruntled coach that wanted to be bandit.
