What I learned in Fall Ball ..

Make sure you're encouraging your daughters to work out if they're going DI. She brought it up from their first workout, but the upperclassmen just look different, and the ball comes off the bat differently. The kid was a mid-level outfield recruit, and I'm sure she'll get there, but she didn't take it seriously enough. This is an obvious comment, but strength matters a lot.

I agree that conditioning and strength training are the biggest shock to most incoming athletes. It would be difficult to mirror the intensity that's required while you're in travel.

I would take it a step further and say nutrition/rest is vital when taking on a D1 practice/workout schedule. Up that caloric intake!
