LP4U Schedule and Location

Can’t believe nothing has been posted. Are you happy with your schedule and locations? Spent the entire weekend between 2 parks for 4 games. And I’m talking about waking up at 5:30 Am and getting home after 5:00 PM both days. Your time isn’t worth more than that? Bracket is 4 packs. Play on 2 fields, back to back and call it a day. Instead, travel between parks. Waste hours. I’m sorry, worst scheduled event I’ve played in years. Won’t be back.

It’s not about the umpires. It’s long waiting and rushing between location. Waste of a weekend. Umpire are human. Tournament directors sucks. Bottom line. Then it influences your thoughts towards the umpire. A terrible scheduled tournament. Absolutely the worst!

The length of time in between games was unnecessary. Based on the multiple people we talked to, you could have easily kept the older age groups in Orland where the colleges were and put the 14’s in Channahon. Let’s be honest, there were no college coaches there. It made for a very long day between two parks with a camp in the evening. We were at the fields Saturday for 12 hours, and that was only 2 games and the camp. My daughter loved the camp, had a great experience with the coaches and got a lot of feedback. By game two on Sunday, most were gone though. It could have been because of the span on time.

Betcher events have always been at 2 parks. The other use to be St Charles. Channahon is extremely closer..... Don't like it stay home

It was horrible, not to mention the umps were absolutely brutal. I do not have an answer but something has to be done about these umps. We had a girl foul a ball off her foot and it went to the pitcher and they called her out. The first base ump actually said out loud, he wasnt watching it. Thats just one of the horrendous plays that happened with the umps.

Umpires call strikes against RH hitters on pitches 8 inches wide constantly. Me thinks these umps want the game to end rather than enforce the strike zone.

Parent who last played organized sports in the 6th grade whines and mfs the umps strike zone from 30' down the third base line. Me thinks these parents would rather have an excuse than put the work in to have a successful player.

I'm interested to hear the changes YOU'LL implement to bring officiating up to your standards. Also, the tournaments you're working this fall so we can see what perfection looks like.

Funny to see complaining about umpire quality and bad calls on the same thread, and the "critics" don't see the correlation between the 2.

Plain and simple - the coaches and parents that complain about every call that doesn't go there way ARE THE REASON umpire quality is declining.

Umps are humans. Be better.
