After long consideration and discussions of the potential changes with birthdates for each age division, PGF will make the move to change each player’s age eligibility registration date from January 1st to September 1st.

My daughter has a December birthday. On odd years she played against girls who were 23 months older than her. On even years about 45% of girls were older than her.
She has a classmate born 3.5 weeks later often playing against girls who were 20-23 months younger.
Having the magical (January-February) birthdates helps these girls get placed on the Chill and Bandit which leads to scholarships.

Matches with every other sanction and every other sport. Every other sport goes by school age except softball. Finally they caught up.
