Why do people give Lake Park so many kudos?

St. Charles East lacks a stud pitcher.

Whitney Young plays a soft schedule.

Lockport lost 3 big sticks but should be good.

Lake park has a solid lineup and really good pitcher, young, but really good. ST East lacks more than just stud pitcher. GBN has the best player in state but unfortunately she's not a pitcher, however, great line up. Wheaton North lost the best pitcher in the conference along with her bat and a couple other strong 2024s, so who knows. And then there's State Champ SCN who is returning pretty much everyone. Will be a fight until the end, one of them, maybe 2 will go down state. Best conference in the state.

DuKane Conference Prediction:
STCN - Ton of returners.
GBN- 3 great bats…decent pitcher
LP- decent pitcher - two good bats
WN - one great bat - unproven pitcher who might be good
STCE - one great bat
WWS-Geneva-Batavia - they got nuttin

I’m sorry, HS is weak in general. All the talent left in 2023. Last year was a joke and this year might be worse.

I've heard more than one person mention that talent dropped substantially after the class of 2023. I think Covid played a part.
