Go ahead and read this section, entitled "Independent Team Participation."

Oh hell, I'll go ahead and do the work for you...

3.101
During the school season for a given sport... a student shall not participate on any non-school team...

3.013
The phrase "participate in any non-school team"... is defined to mean engaging in any team activity, including but not limited to... drills, physical practice sessions...

So, that's the rule... now you can figure out what the heck it means and how far you want to go.

The rule in IL is no “team events”, which means any gathering, meetings, pizza party, etc

In Indiana the answer is yes if it’s one on one only.

Yes you can. Just no team practices or games. Individual lessons are OK.
