Lincoln Way Central is not the team to beat this year. LWC just happens to have the best pitcher in the state since Marjedtko.

The position players at LWC are just average players being carried by an excellent pitcher. The pitcher is the player to beat this year would have been a better way to phrase your question.

doesn't matter what you do in April, its about what you can do it Late May and June. They were the team to beat last year, and didn't make it to state. The team that is playing their best when it counts is the team to beat, not who is doing well in April.

They have "the pitcher" to beat for sure. VERY GOOD.
All other positions...not so much. She will get hit.
