Indiana HS Portal

I cannot wait for this season to be over & have my daughter transfer. Coach is too worried about his lessons. Our pitcher, who he has been giving lessons to for years, was dominant when she was bigger and stronger than everyone. Now she is getting crushed since everyone has caught up. He has a new loudmouth assistant that the girls cannot stand. Horrible culture,the girls are divided.
Good luck finding a catcher next year coach!

Not Hobart, the catcher is a senior. And their pitchers were never, and still aren’t dominant.

While the coach of KV does give every player on the team lessons (hitting and pitching) it can’t be them either because none of them have been dominate, unless OP is talking about Jr. high ball and travel ball.

MR has had stints of dominance, depending on the level of tournaments.

At least tell us what conference this Hs is in. Isn’t it against the rules for a coach to give lessons to players on the team?

Yea rule 15 part B(3) but it’s only enforced if the AD cares to enforce it or someone reports it to the Ihsaa.

Its probably also frowned upon to tell players that their travel team isn’t good enough and they should play for their friends travel team if they want more playing time.

It’s not always greener, I think any one should go where they are happy. No one would criticize someone for leaving a bad job and going some where you are happy. But make sure you don’t leave and go somewhere and the coach is worse for your kid.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the issue with kid's sports. Mommy and daddy. Complain about the coach. Complain about the assistant coach. Complain about the pitcher. I'm sure your superstar daughter is hitting .700 with no errors.

Good luck at your next HS, and next travel ball team. When that sucks too, maybe clean off the mirror.

And when Sally Superstar can't hold a job when she is an adult, this should be where you look when you question where you went wrong as a parent...
