Rating “services”

Saw last night a series of tweets by Extra Innings Softball about some top five “fan favorites” voting.

Hot take: that group (EIS) is the absolute worst. They would offer a contest for nearly any micro category imaginable if they could just sell one more subscription to a parent.

“Subscribe today to learn how National Galactic Chaos 8U is setting a new standard!” Total crap content.

Which makes me think… who IS reputable?

I’d probably rank as follows

1. D1 Softball
2. Line Drive Media
3. Extra Innings *

Who am I missing?

* If I could get my cat to launch a youth softball ratings website, I’d rank EIS lower.

From what I've seen, the rating services are extremely good at picking the very top stars. After the top 25, it's entertainment value.

They seem to do a really good job of getting the top talent right.
