IHSA way too early top teams

Players are back in school and fall ball is heating back up. Who are the top team this year in the IHSA

4A
Marist: Always a juggernaut. New bandit frosh class filling in the hole left behind with graduation. Always one one of the deepest line-ups in terms of offense, defense, and speed.
Probably the best frosh class in 4A arrived.
Oswego: 4A champs return their ace but is there enough supporting cast to get them back down to state.
LWE: They have gobs of hitting and can play defense. Quite a few big time commits. Can they make the leap? Good coaching and some pitching depth to cover the lack of elite pitching. Can they survive the sectional to make a run at state?
Barrington: Pitcher is back and only has 1-2 holes to fill in the line-up, can Perry win it finally? Does the road get easier with teams out west getting weaker. 2nd place last season surprised a lot of teams.
Lockport: Always a well coached and disciplined team. New ace to take over with some depth in the bullpen. Made a nice run to state last season. A tough conference schedule also helps. Can the Porters shock the naysayers and get it done. Hall of Fame coach and competitive conference helps.
St. Charles East: The South Carolina battery might make them the favorites in 4A. Typically a well rounded team. Playing in a tough conference will make them ready for the playoffs. Will North be able to knock them off?
Lake Park: Another team with typical strong offense and defense. 2-3 deep in the circle with elite talent. Will have to get through some tough teams to get down to state.

3A
Glenwood: Most of the impact players are back as well as both pitchers. The defending 3A champs look like the team to beat. Elite and depth in the circle. Good mix of experience on the roster and one of the top coaches in 3A.
Prairie Ridge: Indiana commit in the circle but lost some starters including a D1 commit at SS. Do they have enough to win a tough sectional loaded with pitching.
Antioch: 1 run from state, returns 9 starters including 4 D1 commits, plus one of the top frosh classes in the state. Throw in an elite coach and a killer nonconference schedule, the Queens of the North are back.
Dunlap: Returns all four of its all-Staters including its first team Pitcher and Catcher. Tough sectional and will have to face Glenwood to make it to state.
Crystal Lake Central: One of the deepest pitching staffs in the state and an elite lead off hitter to get the offense off the ground. Will have to get through PR at the sectional and then Antioch at the Supers.

2A
This is a two horse show. Beecher and Carterville return all their star power and pitching. Someone will have to fumble for these two teams not to make it to the state title game.

LWE did well early in the season but did not improve as a team towards to end.

Did someone say coaching was a strength for LWE? That's the worst coach in the state, they can't play defense and the pitching is average. They have some hitting but always choke in big games.

LWE had weak pitching last year, could not handle big bats or the pressure. This year their is a ton of pitching, most are young, and the rest of the team is solid; no one is over powering.

LWC will NOT be good this year.

Providence should do well this year...it will be more interesting next year when they get pushed up to 4A.

Lockport will be solid, many returners.
Marist will be good but always beatable.

Andrew will not be good, and just over rated again.

LWW will have young pitching, it will be interesting who will make Varsity.

LWW will have young pitching??? Hmmm, news to me. LWW will have multiple senior pitchers that I expect to see get the bulk of the innings. West will also have one of the top position players in the state, along with some other pretty good infielders.

LWE does have a solid pitcher returning also, and a good group of position players returning.

LWC will see a significant drop in their record. LWC was about as close to a one person team as it gets last year.

didn't say weak, but just average. Probably the 6th best pitching in the conference behind LWC, Lockport, LWW, Andrew, Bradley.

East will probably have the strongest lineup 1-9 and they do have ONE good pitcher, which means she will be gassed by the midway point of the season and they will be done.

They have a good lineup every year, but they can never do anything in the playoffs, besides underachieve and lose to teams with less talent than they have. The common denominator is the clueless coach.

Sorry but the coach is not the common denominator. The common denominator is pitching, East has lost to LWCentral and Lockport the previous two year. Both Lw Central and Lockport had far superior pitching than LW East.

Position player just don't really matter that much against really good pitchers. East just has average to slightly above average pitching.

LW LEAST has had plenty of pitching in the past and still never did anything. Alex Storako ring a bell? Danni Drogemuller? They even had 2 D1 pitchers the last 2 years of Katie Stewarts HS career, but never went anywhere because the coach pitches their best pitcher until her arm falls off.

Is there really a difference between Lake Central parents and SWS schools, mainly all the Lincoln Ways? They pound their chests all year long and then fail to get to get to Peoria every year, only to watch a team from the North of the West bringing the trophy home. Song remains the same.

Definitely the worst and most clueless coach out of the programs that are considered upper echelon programs in Illinois. So much talent at that school, but every year it's the same underachieving results with some comedic blunders along the way.
