Can someone please explain the use of subs in this PGF qualifier

Sure , there aren’t sub players as you would see in other alphabets. When a team plays a PGF National Qualifier - the players are locked to that roster for the year for other National Qualifiers or PGF Nationals in Cali.

A PGF roster does not lock a player for regional events in PGF or any other alphabet

I would say a vast majority of teams in the PGF Nationals add players either for qualifiers or Nationals.

So everyone on a roster this weekend, as verified by PGF corporate office, is locked for Nationals events.

Any of those players can and likely will possibly play in regional PGF or other sanctioning body events. They are all 100% eligible for LP4U events.

See it very annoying to have subs playing over kids that are on the team. What are the rules for subs in a national qualifier. Aren't they then rostered on the team they sub for for the rest of the season??

I can't believe their team has 17 kids rostered and they are missing 11. Why do you sign up for a tournament? They have 4 subs that start from their "sister" team, which is better than their "National" team. Probably should have just tried to win their bid in June with their actual roster!

Injuries, college visits, big thing called homecoming. How many coaches do you know can see this in their crystal ball when their schedule for the fall is usually done by July or early August (when kids aren’t in school). I’d just wipe your tears away that you didn’t make it past this team- or you left the org and not liking it now, or you were cut.

They will be in Cali next year, and your season will be over.

Let’s stop hating on teams, hating on kids, and let’s celebrate what they did and accomplish.

He used sub players at 18u and then they went back to their 16u team in the spring. Absolutely no Integrity!

So, is your point that your 18U was beaten by or replaced by a 16U? Seems like that's another issue that's yours alone.

Here's my point: if you're that butthurt, go directly to the TD or association and put your name on the complaint. Don't come on here and hope someone else mentions a name and does your dirty work. The Admin on this board doesn't really play that game. Either man up, or shut up.

The point is the 16u players who were supposed to be rostered on the 18u teams PGF roster went back to their original 16u team and played in a 16u Qualifier on June 8 2024. Now the 16u team did not qualify for California but it is still the point of the "Integrity" of this Organization.

Who cares? If your kid didn't play because of this decision then you 1) should not be surprised because they did it before and/or 2) find another team this winter. But if it didn't directly impact you then who cares!!!? If you lost to them, boo fickin hoo.

Your 18U got beat with loaner 16U players. Dude, you need to be out on the field. Turn the PC off and get to work.

I agree, we know. It was posted back and forth on June 8th 2024 and nothing was done about it because they are above the rules and let the church fields be used for events, CHEAP.... follow the $$$$
