What are you paying?

Just wondering what other parents are paying for hitting and/or pitching lessons? How about a batting cage?

Top of the market is $50 for a 30 minute hitting or pitching lesson. There are a couple charging even more, but I'd still put $50 as the working top of the market.

Going below $40 gets you into recently committed high school kids.

Cages seem to start at $20 for 30 minutes.

$100 for one hour softball pitching lesson is ridiculous.

We could always impose a luxury tax on lessons over $80 and redistribute the proceeds to families priced out of the market.

Of course, that’d just shift the curve — instructors would teach less, scarcity would rise, and prices would climb higher anyway.

Alternatively, we could set a price cap. That’d solve everything… except the part where supply disappears.

Depends on who the instructor is. Just like anything else, the demand determines the rate.
