It seems increasingly common...
The work back takes time, but a full recovery can be your expectation.
These kids throw too much, without breaks. It's a lot on the body.

Its not always overuse. Mine got a slap tear from a hook slide into a base on the opposite of her throwing shoulder. Slide into second, grabbed the base going by, that did it.
