HS coaches: free hack!

I’ll go ahead and confess and beg for forgiveness. Pitcher parent here…

If I was a HS coach, I’d be making sure my arms were maintaining their strength training, and not be riding their arms before May.

HS season is three and a half months. Don’t have pitchers spend every non-game day at practice… let them lift - or rest!

Pitchers still need to field, and most of them still need to work on their hitting. Plus, they need to be a part of the team.

But... I agree that we are generally far behind the college game when it comes to optimizing in-season training. If you aren't making time for lifts, you are losing strength. If you aren't making time for rest, you are losing strength. They are very few HS or club teams that take that into consideration.

To all the high school coaches, stop trying to put limits on my daughter. Stop trying to impose boundaries on her. Stop trying to force her into a box.....
We all know the box is a suggestion, and my daughter slaps out of the box.

Has your daughter (or you) ever considered playing by the rules? Cheating is not allowed at the college level.
