Area Players

We know about Lyndsey Grein and Katie Stewart, but who else from the Chicago area killed it on a national stage this year?

I will keep it to Chicago area players which in my mind includes NW indiana. Defining killed it on a national stage is subjective. I'll stick with P4. I am taking the bait. Alexis Pupillo Al, CLS - .400 15HR's, 1.288 OPS. Congrats to her on a great season. This is second offensively to Katie Stewart, TX, LWE - .448, 1.606OPS and 24HR's. 40% of her hits are HR's(Silly)
There are many others.

I am sure I am missing some. P4, Hitting .300, ERA's under 4.00, OPS over 1.00, double digit HR's all with qualifying AB's and innings pitched qualifies as killing it. I'll mention a few others who did well but not quite as well

I Overlooked Abby Dunning, Marist, Clemson - 3.86ERA 161.1 IP 106K's, .253BA/Against. Most IP's on Clemson this year.

Shelby Jacobson, Whitney Young, WIS - 4.04 ERA with a 1.52 WIP 14 wins 9 losses in 142 IP 103K's. Wisconsin's innings leader and a big reason they may get an NCAA bid for the first time since 2022.

Sage Mardjetko is having a very good year at Tennessee. Sage has a 0.99 era, which is the best on the team. Sage's era is better than Karlyn Pickens.

If you consider the Midwest as an "Area Player" then someone who hails from the Indianapolis area is. She played for the Bandits when she was younger.
