Now that were down to the final 4 lets check out where the contenders stand.
4A Marist: Can rest easy that St. Charles North isn't around. Deepest team in 4A. Only loss is to an out of state team. Team of destiny, #1 in 4A. Best line-up in 4A, top tier pitching, and elite defense. Dispatched an elite battery to get to state, nothing going to stop them.
LWW: #6 in 4A. The next best team in 4A, balanced team with well rounded line-up with no easy outs. Pitchers can put the defense in positions to limit runs. Coached emerged as one of the best in the area this season.
Mundelein: Faced Marist in 2024 state finals, graduated some nice offensive weapons. An elite leadoff hitter on turf will give teams headaches. Elite pitcher in the circle, shutdown plenty of offenses. Will need to keep runners off the bases to limit the free bases via steals. Played a tough schedule. Faced the best pitchers in their area.
Oswego: Defending 4A Champs. Took down that what could not be defeated. Big Ten pitcher could come up with some big performances in the circle and at the plate. Recent playoff experience could be a factor at state. The entire town of Naperville could be rooting against them.
3A Glenwood: #1 team in 3A. Defending 3A Champs. Several D1 recruits in the line-up and 2 D1 pitchers on the staff. Hall of Fame Coach. Played the #1 team in 4A and the #1 team in 3A. All 4 All-Staters return. Experience of playing in the game last year will help.
Antioch: #2 team in 3A. Resume is impressive vs. 4A top 20. Put 11 runs up on a Big Ten pitcher in the Supers. The fastest team in the state is on turf could give teams headaches. 4th appearance in state in last 5 years. D1 and young talent paired with probably the best coach left in the playoffs.
Fenwick: Nice options in the circle and some talent peppered into the line-up. Was down state 2 seasons ago with a young team that could pay dividends. Coach has been there 3 years and made 2 state finals appearances.
Dunlap: Top heavy line-up with slappers to set-up the offense. Big Ten commit in the circle.
2A Carterville: Runner-ups don't have to look over their shoulder for Beecher. Should run away with the 2A state title.

Oswego and their obnoxious, childish parents shouldn't even be there. Wonder if they will flip off and yell at the Mundelein bus after losing to them?
