TC Tournaments

So if this is all about the kids, can someone explain why the cost of a tourney is $2200 for a 14U team? I bet there are hidden costs to like, "Stay to Play, and high gate fees. Am I just out of touch with the whole travel ball scene? Isn't most of that passed on to the parents? Just curious.

It is your kid that is playing, right? Who do you think should absorb the cost of tournaments?

It's the reality of you get what you pay for. You want great competition, good umps, longer games, well run tourneys, great fields..... then you have to pay for it.

Triple Crown? What tournament? Colorado? TC Nationals? Be more specific.

Basic economics: when you have something that is in high demand, the price will rise. Colorado, for example, they pull at least 300 teams.

Patriot Games tourney (14U). Not my kid, just a shocked old timer. But I guess its worth it. That D1 scholarship carrot keeps dangling. Yep, simple economics except this system is rigged.

Patriot Games are the week before Colorado kicks off. Invite only tourney, loads of coaches.
