Connolly and Out-of-the-Box

Posted by Bear’s QB on October 17, 2026, 8:13 pm

-Go to GameChanger
-Follow the Cheetahs 18U team (you know the Coach)
-Choose a season (can be any of the past 3 years)
-Pick a few games, any game (they are kind enough to make videos public)
-Click on the videos of those games
-Watch the video of the first two Cheetah batters of the game
-Determine if that batter broke the rules
-Ask yourself if what you watched is fair play

This is really incredible. I've never seen someone so obsessed with one team, and one aspect of the game, for so long.

I actually DID watch one Cheetahs game on GameChanger. Interestingly enough, I watched the umpire during a slapper's at-bat have a conversation with the hitter that looked to be about the box. I can only infer that he was either giving her a warning, or he was telling her that she had more room to work with - he actually made a line with his foot in front of the box to illustrate (maybe those were baseball sized boxes)?

Whatever it was, it tells me that the umpires were well aware of the rules and were mindful of getting the calls right. No doubt that umpires don't get every call right - I'm just thankful that you're only the parent of a slow third baseman and not a pitcher parent, or your posts would be criticizing balls and strikes.

Time to move on, ma'am...

Have you seen the movie obsession? You should check it out. Also, isn't there some yardwork that needs to be done, maybe watch some reruns of Different Strokes? You also know that the rules in travel differ from the rules in college, right?
Honestly if I was one of these kids or their parents, If i wasn't so freaked out by this, I might be honored for letting them live rent free in your head. They really did a number on you.

Watched a game of these this weekend while waiting and they have talent there was a lot of leaving early especially fly balls to the outfield. Another observation, that must be some of the best kool aid served anywhere. Been around the game for quite a while and there’s a lot of phony cheering. Came across high level talent over the years that celebrate with class and you knew it was meaningful. But to each their own. Play the game how it’s meant to be played and you will be rewarded. ✌🏼

Their slappers were legal. And performed very well. Thanks for that.

Dude. There are rules on what is legal and illegal for a slapper to do. Your obsession with slappers is weird. Maybe take up politics or something else.

Did you do the research suggested by Bear’s QB? What did you find? Is she right? Or are you just screaming like a 3 year old?

My kid was a Cheetah. There are valid reasons she left. Much happier after.

(Not on Connolly tho)

Sir, it's abnormal to assign homework on the weekends.

When is this project due?

Can I use chat GPT?
