I guess without sound knowledge of grammar, you will not be able to look professionally at your job or college. You must have comprehensive speech, both oral and written. My problem was also that I couldn't master English speech rhythm. I came from Holland, we have different pitches and rules there. Fortunately I found 1-to-1 English tutoring and after two months of training I see that the difference is noticeable.
