I believe cryptocurrencies represent a new, decentralized paradigm of money, which is why I invest in crypto. In this system, centralized intermediaries like banks and financial institutions are not needed to ensure trust and control transactions between two parties. Therefore, a cryptocurrency system eliminates the possibility of a single point of failure, such as a major financial institution triggering a cascade of global crises.
