From what I’ve seen, teams are increasingly relying on shared virtual numbers for collaboration tools. It seems especially useful when multiple people need temporary or flexible access, since it removes the dependency on individual phone numbers and helps centralize account security in a more manageable way. Even outside of Google, this setup could streamline access to other work-related apps or services.
