Smart Home Automation for Water Systems – Is it worth the upgrade?

I’m currently in the middle of a full smart home renovation, and while I’ve automated my lights, thermostat, and security cameras, I’m still running my main water supply on old-school manual valves. I’m constantly worried about a pipe bursting while I’m away on vacation or just wasting a ton of water because the irrigation system doesn't know it's raining. It feels like every time I look into a 'smart' solution, it’s either overly complicated or just a basic leak sensor that doesn't actually shut anything off. Has anyone here actually integrated their plumbing into their smart hub? I’m looking for a way to monitor my usage in real-time and have the system automatically cut the flow if a major leak is detected. What are the best components to start with, and is the setup something a tech-savvy homeowner can handle, or is this strictly professional territory?
