Hi everyone, I need some serious interior design input. We have inherited several gorgeous, dark mahogany antique cabinets and tables from my grandparents, and they are the centerpiece of our living room. We are now looking to replace our old carpets with real timber, but I am terrified of the wood tones clashing and making the room look like a timber yard. Has anyone successfully paired modern wood flooring Edinburgh options with dark, traditional furniture? Should we go for a very light natural oak to create contrast, or try to match the dark tones of the furniture exactly?
