Performance testing results have often been misleading because our staging servers primarily simulate domestic user traffic patterns rather than global audiences. When we deploy updates without testing latency parameters from distant markets, end-users frequently experience sluggish response times and connection timeouts. Integrating local routing nodes into our continuous integration pipeline will allow us to measure API performance accurately across different global regions. I will discuss this testing infrastructure upgrade with the quality assurance lead during our afternoon engineering sync.
