This time, we decided to take a different path and integrated the platform via Carteza payment routing.
Our first week was spent entirely on compliance and documentation: we had to detail our business model, target markets, settlement currencies, and growth goals, followed by the standard corporate onboarding process. It felt reasonable and straightforward because we had a dedicated rep guiding us through what was needed.
The second week was all about setup: enabling local payment methods and configuring card routing parameters. That was the exact moment I felt the contrast with our past experience—we didn't have to write custom code or build separate integrations for each country. By week three, we were testing live transactions and tracking results in real time.
Naturally, there were a few minor bumps along the way: we had to adjust some routing logic after initial test runs because our priority rules weren't quite right at first. But ultimately, launching across two new markets went smoothly without any major crises. Now, when I consider our next market expansion, I don't feel overwhelmed—I just reuse the exact same blueprint.
Has anyone else entered new geographic markets using an orchestration setup? I'd be curious to know how long your first rollout took and what ended up being the hardest part of the process.
