Doug Matzke [Deep Reality] describes the brain as a transciever that communicates with the quantum substrate of the universe. I would go further and say that the connectome, the wires of dendrites in the brain thought by cryonicists to be the substrate for the "mind", is actually the transciever-antenna array. As Matske says, the mind is located outside of the brain in hyperdimensional quantum space/time. It projects itself into the brain via the connectome/antenna.
