Matzke points out that many quantum people make the mistake of thinking of the human brain in a quantum sense but only in a material way. Matzke says the brain is material but the mind is in quantum reality as immaterial quanta phenomena. The material brain is an antenna. So Matzke is ahead of Mike Perry AND Tipler... Matzke is saying the mind is projected into the brain from a distance-- from the quantum aether-- that the brain is an antenna. I don't think any religion has ever proposed it in this language either.
Religions and other assorted spiritualists have referred to the soul, or the spirit... as inhabiting the brain... but not being projected from a quantum realm, secure in its own immortal existence, using the brain/body as an avatar in the real physical world. They may get close, but one thing Matzke does well is to use new language, updated language, to describe how this works, in terms of quantum computing. I like that a lot. I've connected with Matzke in a manner similar to how I felt I connected with Ettinger in 1978 when I first read Prospect of Immortality. I could write a new paper called Quantum Immortlity. And it would not be a prospective... it already exists. WE are already immortal.
If we're already immortal... there is a school of thought out there already that proposes that, I realize. I forget what the associations are but it's out there... and it requires that we dispese with "Judgement Day" and various accroutements associated with various theologies.
If our mind is projected at Matzke says, then there is the problem of God as well which I'll deal with later. I think God exists in quantum aether as "well connected" conciousness on that level, a self aware being of infinite proportions because the quantum aether would permit it. I'm not sure how Matzke describes God but I see he uses "Source Science" as a phrase, a lot.
More to say on this later. Can't deal with all aspects of this in one post.
