Ettinger ignores the fact that all the traits he wants for superman exist in "techo" man via man's mind being able to discover universal physical principles and engineer tools based on that... a unique feature of man. We already ARE superman if you consider the tools man concieved, discovered and made. This is a critical thing, pointed out by Larouche. Man is in this sense "super-animal". The fact that the tools are not integrated into the biological neural system of a living man is almost a side issue and sort of ridiculous anyway in that even comic books protrayed specialized men, like Aquaman or Plasticman or Ironman. You can't be Ironman AND Aquaman at the same time. Ettinger failed to realize there are physical constraints on what can even be considered! So in this sense, his book MIS is peurile. I always considered it second rate compared to the book that made him famous, the POI.
