I first met Saul Kent in 1985 while looking for Durk Pearson. I was at a backyard pool party thrown by Bill Falloon & upon meeting Kent, asked him where Durk Pearson was. He looked shocked and said "I don't have to take this" as he wheeled away from me. I ask Doug Platt what that was about. Platt indicated that my question might have been an insult since Kent was the main guy at LEF. However, I was under the impression that Life Extension: A Practical and Scientific Approach which listed LEF in Florida in the Appendix, and written by Pearson/Shaw, and which book drew me to the Florida activity in life extension work, would lead me to Durk Pearson. As it turned out, Saul Kent and Bill Falloon had somehow managed to get the mailing list built by Durk Pearson's sales of his book and that mailing list is what kicked off the LEF. I guess I might have hit a raw nerve.
