Quantum information processing is still one of the best takes why our brain still outperforms super computers in decission making and still outperfoms third generation ANNs in learning. I work together with people in Neuromorphic Computing field in a non-disclosed research project and its nearby impossible right now to recreate the effectiveness of the brain entirely with just copying the neuronal structures with similiar computer parts, all you get is the same algorithm as the brain is using, so you can theoretically exchange parts that have nothing to do with consciousness but there must be something else responsible for consciousness. Either its the complexity of all subcompartments combined aka. coordinated brain waves or Quantum Information... I hold great hopes for cryostasis and believe its a solution to many problems but as of now - sadly - many people in the field rely on classic neuroscience rather taking the possibility of Quantum Information into account because that would need a more specialized protocol imo.
