Other times I recall physical confrontations at Alcor were Mike Darwin's encounter with police in Riverside/Alcor and FDA's raid on LEF in FL in 1989. Steve Rudell was pulled out of his penthouse in FL in 1989 too. I almost had physical fights with David Shellhammer in FL while working for Bill and Saul. I don't know what HIS problem was with me. He had an aggressive attitude and was a lot bigger than me.
One more near-confrontation was with Dave Pizer while we were driving up to his new Ventureville in Mayer when I mentioned I had been reading Larouche. Dave's anger boiled up and he told me to never talk about Larouche in his vehicle or he would drop me off right there on the freeway halfway between Mayer and Phoenix, about a 100 mile drive.
Robert Ettinger didn't mean to make me feel uncomfortable when he was at the wheel near his house and we were driving somewhere, I forget now. He was a crazy unsafe driver.
I guess the moral to the stories is that just because you're with people who want to live forever does not mean that they take precautions to do so, either themselves or for those around them, like me. They're just as mean and sloppy and human-flawed as the rest of humanity.
I guess I started out wrong because when I was 17, a buddy of mine who was interested in becoming a police office, listening to police radio all the time, took me out drinking underage at 17 when the rule was 18. No ID check at the door at that time. I myself have done numerous stupid things in my life that could have ended way worse than they did.
