Stone face Dave Pizer: Has anyone seen it like me? I introduced Dave Pizer to a husband of a piano student of mine one time, and was shocked to see Dave present him with a cold stone face, as opposed to a friendly smile and friendly face and demeanor. It was shocking. I thought I knew Dave a bit, since 1990 and this was 2002. The friend was about his age, maybe 70 something, both of them. But the rappore in Dave's "head office" at Mayer's Creekside Preserve in his office in front of his big desk, was disconcerting to a degree that shocked me to the point where I recall it now years later with horror. Where was the "salesman"? Where was the friendly demeanor. The intro might have caught him on an off-day but he knew the meeting was coming up. There are many mysteries about Dave Pizer that should be investigated IMO. He went "balls to the walls" to support Carlos Mondragon fro example. And we all know Carlos was into boys. Why would Dave support that unless he was completely "amoral"? I'm asking. That was back in the day of Saul Kent's "Time for A Change". It seems like only last week to me. Sometimes a good memory is a bad asset.
