I discovered the article "The Common Sense of Physical Immortality" in 1976 while a freshman at U of Waterloo, having enrolled in the Science Faculty there. The paper was stacked with copies on a table at the opening Student Center, tables manned by students who had preceded me there. It was one of many papers and flyers I picked up that day. Later, when I read it, I discovered that it seemed to answer some questions I had earlier, in high school, about the meaning of life and death.
