When I was signed up for cryonics, I was optimistic about the future, which had to include a future economics that does well. It turns out, in 2023, that we're not doing well. Mark Plus thinks he knows why, via Owen Papke and "End of Affluence". I think those analyses are wrong and that the real reason for economics problems to be found in "PHYSICAL" economics not being paid attention to, in favor of "FINANCIAL" economics as Larouche pointed out.
Cryonicists in general turned out to not know much about economics, physically, which is the economics that deals with production and real progress. I tried to rub their noses in it in Cryonics magazine in Jan 2002 but to no avail.
