Hello, I'm an independent blogger on a wide variety of topics and a piano instructor by trade, in Phoenix, Arizona. I was a member of the Alcor organization for a number of years. They preserve humans in cryopreserved capsules for later potential reanimation. I became interested in how memory works during those years. I'm no longer a member because I now believe that human memory is off-site, and I take a dualist approach to mind-body. In that regard, Dr. Penfield's work with cortical stimulation to elicit detailed memories became interesting to me in that regard. I cannot find anyone who has replicated his work from the 1950's at McGill. The closest paper I found your lab comes is here: "Theta-burst microstimulation in the human entorhinal area improves memory specificity".
Can you refer me to any work you've done or that you're aware of that replicates Dr. Penfield's work exactly as he did it? They theory I'm working with is out-of-the-box compared to standard thinking these days in that I now believe the brain and connectome to be a kind of quantum antenna for an offsite quantum-mind existence. Penfield's patients who recalled detailed episodic memories during cortical stimulation is consistent with that theory.
Apologies in advance for taking your valuable time to read this... but then again, if you can direct me, I would sincerely appreciate it. I currently write a blog that covers some of these topics and will publish this email along with your responses there. Thank you very much.
