I had a Dave Pizer sighting-- what was he doing on my street? As I was driving home on my routine route, I noted a flatbed tow truck and car being hoisted onto it on my street. I noted a fellow beside the tow truck in the street so slowed down of course, very slow and suddenly recognized Dave Pizer... rolled down my window and said "Hello Mr. Pizer, you're looking good!", which is is. The tow truck operator might have been on the other side of his rig. Dave stared at me with his typical glare, mumbled something and turned around again as a car tried to get around me on my left, already too narrow since I was on the left of the rig.

It took me an hour to realize that Dave's car must have broken down. At first I thought Dave was in the car-recovery business, picking up cars with missed payments, then I thought Dave was a tow truck operator. I thought he should not be in that rough business in his 80's. Then I thought that that cannot be and finally realized he broke down while exploring my neighbourhood for houses that he can buy.

Imagine that. Once a real estate flipper, always a real estate flipper, even into his 80's? All the more power to him but holy moly... that's still a tough row to hoe especially if you're already made in the shade. Traffic itself is a reason to not be doing his type of exploration of streets like mine and houses like mine in his 80's. However, it sort of makes sense since there is no Ventureville operation to operate and never will be. Oops, did I write something wrong? Was that a jab?
