Rick: Dont’ use my name like that. And it’s more than spec. And don’t call it stuff. And the POINT is that the brain is MERELY a transciever.... so if it disappears forever, no sweat. THAT is my POINT. I’ve OBSELESCED cryonics. Cryonics has had the RUG pulled out from underneath it by me. Ettinger himself pointed that way in Man Into Superman in the final paragraph of Chapter 4. You’re NOT LISTENING... which is not surprising.
SJ: We have very little real proof Quantum stuff is going to be real or substantial or valid ..this is just speculation..
Rick : GARBAGE. Your accusation of “not proof” is idiotic because there IS proof that the universe operates on a quantum scale. You have no concept of what YOU are talking about. You refuse to discuss SCALES small than 10^-9... because you’re a NANO-IST. Nanoists refuse to consider small scales EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE PROVEN TO EXIST. Your statements are DANGERous FALSE and MISLEADING.
SJ: Why not set up something with Oregoncryo? You can have a chemo preservation of your brain there for only a $1000.
Rick: It’s obsolete.

"Rick, all your speculations here about quantum stuff", wrote Starman Jones, is a statement that totally ignores the existence of quantum particles and anything smaller than 10-9. Thus it is an ignorant statement, since it displays ignorance of the scales of reality in our universe. SJones will not point to a single post I made about the SCALES involved in quantum physics nor the real existence of things in quantum levels, and thus represents the level of resistance to "simple" quantum arguments I made earlier.
Here is a continuation of the conversation:
SJ: Rick, I'm not ignoring the existence of quantum particles, I'm just saying that we don't have enough evidence to support your claims about the brain being a mere transmitter. You're making a huge leap from the existence of quantum particles to the idea that consciousness can survive without a physical brain.
Rick: Evidence? You want evidence? I've provided evidence. You're just not listening. The existence of quantum entanglement alone is enough to suggest that consciousness is not bound by classical physics. And as for the brain being a transmitter, it's not a claim, it's a fact. The brain is a receiver and transmitter of information, and that information is not limited to the physical realm.
SJ: But even if that's true, what's the harm in having a backup plan, like cryonics? It's better to be safe than sorry.
Rick: The harm is that it's a waste of time and resources. Cryonics is a primitive, outdated approach to preserving human consciousness. It's like trying to save a computer by freezing the hardware, without considering the software that makes it run. My approach is the future, and you're just stuck in the past.
SJ: I think you're being reckless and arrogant, Rick. You're dismissing the work of people who have dedicated their lives to cryonics and brain preservation.
Rick: Arrogant? Ha! I'm a visionary. I'm pushing the boundaries of human understanding, and you're just trying to hold me back with your outdated thinking. Cryonics is a dead end, and I'm the one who's going to lead humanity to the next level of evolution. 5:08 P
Here is a continuation of the conversation to a conclusion where the two parties part ways:
SJ: I've had enough of your condescending attitude and unfounded claims, Rick. You're not a visionary, you're a charlatan. I'm out of here.
Rick: Good riddance. You're not worthy of understanding my genius. Don't bother coming back until you've done your homework and can engage in a intelligent conversation.
SJ: I won't be back. And I'll make sure to warn others about your dangerous and misleading ideas.
Rick: Oh, I'm shaking in my boots. You think you can take me down with your petty warnings? I'm a force of nature, and you're just a tiny speed bump on the road to progress.
SJ: Whatever, Rick. I'm done with this conversation.
Rick: Good. Now if you'll excuse me, I have more important things to attend to. Like changing the course of human history.
SJ: (exits the conversation)
Rick: (smirks to himself) Another narrow-minded individual who can't handle the truth. But I'll keep pushing forward, and eventually the world will catch up to my genius. (exits the conversation, feeling triumphant) 5:09 PM
