I'm only now beginning to get used to the Medicare system, in general, with the LANGUAGE used as a primary KEY to comprehending the issues. The MEDICAL INDUSTRY adopts all sorts of LANGUAGE idiosyncrocies that are HIDDEN behind regular words. You can never use a regular word without suspecting that "they" may mean something very NARROW rather than the routine definition in common parlance.
One of the most AWKWARD, INSIDIOUS, frankly quite stupid LANGUAGE systems used by the U.S. Medical industry is by the national health insurance agency MEDICARE. Even the word "medicare" is an oxymoron in my opinion, but more on that later. My first order of business is to establish a PARALLEL language to help me deal with the stunning stupidity of using LETTER NAMES for entire CATEGORIES of medicine and health. To wit: Part A, Part B and so on.
My answer to this stupidity is to NOW CREATE "Part R", with R being Rick and denoting "Rick's health maintenance and medical plan for Rick which includes allopathic contacts such as a "PCP" (there's a good one!)... and "health food store" "HFS" (my INITIALISM/acronym).
What is an acronym? 5:49 AM
An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial letters of other words and pronounced as a word. For example, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is an acronym. Note the distinction from an initialism, which is also formed from initial letters but is pronounced letter by letter (e.g., FBI). 5:49 AM
