My close up and very real encounter with Dorothy at 60, 70, 80 and 90 as age awareness & .....inevitability. I tried everything to "keep her going". At every point I thought I had it "stabilized" but from these stable platforms, another dip would occur and I'd "restabilize" for a time. And we'd do a lot of things at each level of stability. Near the end, the destabilization was shockingly rapid and nothing I did seemed to restabilize things. Unbelievable.

Biological decline viewed from my perspective in this situation is stark, unstoppable, unpredictable, insidious, and makes me think that we all have a problem.
