Galaxy Homecare doesn't point to Medicare Homecare Services!? I wonder if most of the blogs and help sites for AMATEUR CAREGIVERS for elderly bedridden are really even aware of the MEDICARE "Home Health Services"... incorrectly titled, buried in the book after Hepatitus. This SHOULD BE PROMINENTLY title "MEDICARE HOME CAREGIVER SERVICES".... not "health" because yeah, it's health, but it's not PRIMARILY health, it's PRIMARILY "CARE GIVING", either curative or palliative... and then HOSPICE follows!

SITES like this are useful, retroactively, because nothing preps one for the DECLINE and IRREVERSIBITY of an elderly bedridden person... and an ordinary person like me, fully invested in that bedridden person, is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to recognize and get AHEAD of the decline... alwasy playing catch up from behind as teh learning cruve becomes STEEPER with TRANSITIONAL SUDDEN DECLINES, also IRREVERSIBLE. My optimism never saw and understood the nature of the problem. I didn't make a FULL TIME STUDY out of it. Only part time, learning as I went. Actualyl. in hindsite, not good enough.

There COULD HAVE been a BETTER way to manage this problem and I'll be describing that in coming weeks here.
