Source Science based on Matzke, rewritten by Rick Potvin - part 1

Physics is broadly categorized into classical and quantum mechanics. A new theoretical framework, Source Science, proposes a "Theory of Everything" built on the premise that everything, including physics, consciousness, and the mind, is fundamentally composed of bits. This theory posits that spacetime arises from quantum source states and suggests a primitive form of physics, protophysics, underpins it all. Crucially, the brain is modeled not as a classical computer but as a quantum antenna where the mind influences the probabilities of synaptic firings; this psycho-kinetic interaction requires a robust, high-bit-rate connection. This novel brain-mind model is consistent with physics without invoking the four fundamental forces and would enable a quantum computing model of the mind vastly superior to classical computer models of artificial intelligence.
The limitations of current AI approaches, including the impending end of computer chip scaling and the lack of solutions for genuine understanding, learning, and general intelligence, are highlighted. While quantum computers offer potential advantages, their lack of long-term memory suggests they won't replace existing commercial infrastructure. Finally, the author uses a whimsical analogy of Dorothy M. Motto's location in "Quantum Hyperspace" (or "the cloud") to illustrate the potential for quantum superposition: existing in multiple states (awake and asleep) simultaneously.
